Ross Dogus
Ross is a person who loves nature in all her miriad aspects, as reflects in his poetry. He writes his words to accompany music, so many are truly song lyrics. His love for nature and animals reflect within his work, as well as his myriad life experiences, which he's woven into a tapestry of of rhythms. I think you'll truly absorb quite a lot from his thoughtful statements and sentiments.

The Hawk
Fly free, Fly bold
Winds of time, forgo
Soar through the air with no fear, why care ?
You're the hawk
And you're free as the morning sun

Sail high, sail low
Hands of fate, unfold
Glide through the day, guide the way, don't stop
You're the hawk
Do you need a friend ?

And though you don't show your fear that well
You seem uneasy that I'm here so near, I can tell
Do you want me to go ?  Don't you know ?
You'll get by
You'll fly high and low

I call to you, you reply
With curious tones you fly by
I know your love and your young are near
You can't hide what's inside
You're the hawk

 reflections on shattered glass
Like reflections on shattered glass
Peace has fallen apart
I feel the drifting of the day
With the moving of the wind
And the shifting of the shade
And nobody wins

Nothing to do, only to look anew
Like the birth of a child
Or the falling of the dew
Through the cry of a fire
Leading to a brand new day

Moonlight Misty Morn'
Feelin' kinda low y'all
Listenin' to this news show
Nothing really changing
Only rearranging

Hunger in America
Trouble on the streets
Killing dogs in China
Big business looking sweet

Though sometimes it's on my mind
Sometimes the thoughts get left behind
Sometimes ascend, into the wind
And blow away

Surplus farm crops wasting
Keep those prices high
Farmers going bankrupt
Or barely getting by

Hunger in America
Trouble on the streets
Killing dogs in China
Big business looking sweet

You know there ain't no reason being sad
You know it isn't half that bad
For life goes on, and soon will come
A brand new day

And in a moonlight misty morn'                                                              Rainbow visions will be born
And life goes on, and you will find
A brand new way

song lyrics by rossdogus

What's the use in trying
What's the use in trying
All you get is pain
What's the use in caring
All it does is rain
For it will not matter
When your life is over
So why worry about things
You'll have nothing you can show for

All the things we've been through
All the things we've done
We felt the breath of winter
We kissed the warmth of sun
But now the sky is falling
And clouds are turning grey
Just a little thunder
And look you're giving way

So what good is believing
And what good is faith
And what good is waiting
For things to fall in place
For it will not matter
When your life is over
So why worry about things
You'll have nothing you can show for

song lyrics by rossdogus

Don't talk to him
Don't talk to him
His heads in the clouds
Doesn't understand
What is at hand

How can he make it
He can't even fake it
He just does his best
And sometimes less

All of the chances he's had
All of the times he tried
All of the times he changed his mind
He'll just never never learn

Don't talk to him
He won't even hear you
You'll just waste your time
Like I have mine

I'm off on my way
It's been good to see you
Just remember, hey
What I had to say

Don't talk to him
His heads in the clouds
Doesn't understand
What is at hand

How can he make it
He can't even fake it
He just does his best
And sometimes less
